It’s always difficult to condense an entire person's life into a tattoo. The possibilities are endless: a date? A name? A place? Numbers? Fingerprints? Their handwriting on your birthday card? Their favorite book? A movie you always watched together? The chair she always sat on? The car he always drove? An inside joke between you two? The sneakers he always wore? The nickname she teased you with? Their eyes? Their smile? Their laugh? How can a tattoo do justice by an entire persona? How....... do you catch all the fights, the laughs, the hardship, the unspoken bonds? All I can say is you can never rush tattoos that pay tribute to the passed, but when the time comes, you’ll know, and you always have to find the perfect artist for the job. The hardest yet most rewarding role as an artist is to absorb your client’s sheer amount of loss, confusion, anger, and recovery then produce a tattoo that says for them, “I loved you so much.
