The heart and its emotions bring us an indescribable feeling of love and happiness, but your garden of love is sustained by the thunderclouds of responsibility. Originally, Michael had wanted hooks latching onto the heart, suspending it to the brain, but upon meeting Michael, and his sweet disposition, I felt that hooks were a bit too harsh for him. Listening to his stories, he told me, "My brain wants what is best for me, but sometimes my heart is better at making decisions and I should think about releasing the hooks more often." I realized, he understood that his pragmatism was useful, but he also treasures the decisions he's made with his heart for happiness. It wasn't a harsh relationship between his heart and his brain, it was one of balance and sustainability, and it reminded me of my love for the rain: refreshing.
