He had a shop on 48th street that closed in 1961 because of the New-York city tattoo ban (a ban that lasted until 1997). He move to Montreal and opened Point St-Charles Tattoo in 1976. Dave Cummings started to hang around the shop in 1990, trying to convince Tony to teach him how to tattoo. He started tattooing at the shop in 1993.
