Mike "Rollo" Malone

Mike had deep roots in Hawaii as he worked side by side with Sailor Jerry Collins at Jerry's Hotel Street shop, Honolulu. Sailor Jerry wanted at least one of three proteges/friends – Mike, Ed Hardy or Zeke Owens– to take over his shop (or else burn it) when he passed, and after his death in 1973, Malone had the chance to buy Sailor Jerry’s famous Hotel Street shop. Malone jumped at that chance, renamed it China Sea Tattoo Company and maintained that shop until 2001.
